Accepting

Before growth can occur you first have to accept yourself and let go the pain

Gone is my childhood, both dream and reality
Existential exploration awakening the me inside of me
Silent pleas pushed out for recognition
Telling feelings, revealing recent contrition
Anger aching but no longer ruling
Learning to live, risking honest disclosures
Taking on life as it now comes to me.
