Time is and Memory was but then again........
He was in love with her,
But she was a memory gone,
Time had stopped for him,
But for her it marched on

So what does he do now?
He sees her as she was,
But can't see her as she is,
Time changes, memory never does

He always believed in her,
Even if it was wrong,
Love makes one blind,
The power of trust in the mind

So love can be a lie in the heart,
And even knowing you still won't part,
You know love when you feel it,
So real that time could only steal

They would be together forever,
Time had other ideas,
His heart broke and he felt the ache,
All she could ever do was take

She never knew the depth of pain,
Or of his tears he cried like rain,
His grey buildings and blackened skies,
His shouts in the evening and the asking of whys

He never had intentions of living like this,
He needs a phone call,
A brightening of his day,
But conversations end the same way

How can you live for the future,
When your in love with the past?
All you can do is cry just a little,
Make sure you meet time in the middle

Because in the end you will live as it is,
Because what choice does one have?
Time is and the past is a memory,
Living only in you and living only in me
