A reflection on Death and Mourning
Remember the light of last dawn so clear

For come dusk our way is made to wend

Down empty corridors past memories dear

Where we begin to walk towards an end

and when each in turn we come to pause

In hold of one last wistful breath

Upon the threshold of our twilight doors

and pass beyond to make our peace with death

Let us fear not the room that waits inside

Nor the sounds of the darkness calling

but weep for the love we leave behind

in pain of grief and lost to mourning
