for the cliche' writing assignment this is about my husband, Johnny.
By Lisa Noe
Many a night I sit waiting
Hoping you’ll feel the same about me
Our love is like stars shooting through the sky
Shiny and unique and fresh as home made pies
I miss your touch when you’re away
I love the way you kiss my neck
The way you hold my hand
I know our love is just in its birth
But I already know you’re my soul’s mate
You are the love that I hoped would transpire
My dream come true, my prince so valiant
I love you even if our love has just bloomed
Like a cherry tree in spring
You are my lover and my best friend
My heart leaps from my chest when you walk near
I think you are a handsome statuesque dreamer
You mean every thing to me like fine diamonds
You are cherished above all else
You are my husband.
Note: this is written as if I just met my husband,
however we have been married for 29 years.
but there is always a start to something.
