Not all my poems are so dark and tragic, true beauty and purpose are all around me. |
-Gentle Flower- by Keaton Foster Gentle flower Growing By the hour Advancing By the day Reaching For the heavens Dare not forgetting Earth bound affliction. Gentle flower Standing taller Being true Beauty in deeper bloom Your colors are explosive Your smell is intoxicating Each curve and every copy Natures perfected version Of syncopated duplication. Gentle flower Such an existence May be short A lifetime of living Confined by and within Seasonal implications Your lone purpose Propagation via attraction Calling the bees closer Swearing allegiance. Gentle flower Making you whole The bees know no role They do what is natural What nature calls Like you and your kind They are driven by need The succulent juices Of your blossom forces them To do as they do. Gentle flower Reaching taller Spreading far and wide Taking the sun deep inside Opening your bloom Letting all around see The truth and beauty Of your meaning Within the shortest Of perennial season… Gentle Flower Written by Keaton Foster Copyright © 2015. |
