I a flame, was faster than a burning wick, as I melted into my candlestick.
I a flame,
was faster than a burning wick,
as I melted into my candlestick.
__________________________

I blew in on the wind,
on a burning wick.

I grew until
my light began to fade,
like a flame,
but my embers burnt out years ago.

Smokey ash,
waving in the air,
is all that is left of me.

A shadow left hollow,
and bear.

I was meant for a darkened room,
lit by my wayward spirit,
a wispy ghost,
a forgotten presence,
until my light was needed.
