Creative fun in
the palm of your hand.

Nothing is urgent, it will get done when the inclination leans that way.

I sleep a dreamless sleep,
a couple of hours or so.
My mind is ever active,
why? Well, I don’t know
My brain says ‘get up
and do creative things.’
But aching back, tired feet
will not flex their wings.

There is so much I can do,
my mind keeps telling me,
just lying quietly in this bed
is where my body wants to be
I think I must be getting old,
it’s been a long, long time
since I bounded out each morning
with excitement on my mind.

I toddle out for breakfast,
coffee white, and toast,
feed the cats some goodies,
watch TV’s morning boast.

Later, I’ll get dressed
and open up the day
with a wander through the garden
thinking what I’ll do today.

Decisions will be made,
some jobs must be done,
but if I have a choice
that’s where I’ll have some fun.

Mow the grass, pull some weeds,
or just laze in the warming sun?
Maybe I’ll walk the dogs a while,
as long as they don’t run.

Perhaps I’ll ponder on the world,
or my current crazy situation.
If I keep my mind alert
I may get some inspiration.

There’s no hurry to be active,
No need to rush or bustle,
I’m like tree leaves in a tiny breeze,
I so gently move and rustle.
