A stunning 3 homerun game was quite impressive, as he gave the fans a view of history. Kirk became the first Met to hit 3 homers in a game.

The Mets fed off the energy and won 5-3, winning seven of their last nine games. This team has some offense as of lately, with the team's ace Matt Harvey hitting a two run shot in the previous game. This young, star studded youth filled squad is red hot, as they head into the All-Star game looking to keep playing sharp for the season, keeping a close eye on the playoffs as the main goal.
