GOD'S WHISPERS

Dreams can be God's whispers
His words into our ears
Glimpses of His presence
His shadow passing near

In dream God spoke to Jacob
And showed him mankind's fate
Angels climbed a ladder
That led to heaven's gate

He talked in dream to Joseph
Of glories nigh at hand
Soon enough was Joseph
Pharaoh's right hand man

To another Joseph
In dream did angel say
Do not fear for Mary
She'll birth God's son one day

John was trapped on Patmos
When Roman exile came
God's dream showed him wonders
Revelation's book by name

Dreams can be of many things
When in that Land of Nod
They're not always from within
Some might just be from God
