Something lighter. I was inspired to write this after watching Hachi the movie.
                  For Hachiko,
Inspired by the greatest story ever told.

For nine years he sat at the station doors,
so patient and so loyal.
With a faithful bond, that was so strong,
masked a heart full of turmoil.

He found his friend on unusual terms,
terms that were meant to be.
And a kinship grew as nature knew,
that would mark history.

They weren't master and apprentice,
nor like father and a son.
They were merely just two vessels,
but a life force that was one.

A lesson can be learnt from them,
of this I can assure.
That there was never a stronger bond,
than a human and a paw.

Nine years he had waited,
with unconditional love.
Waiting not for his friends return,
but their reunion up above.

This is not displayed in humanity,
that is why we have grown cold.
But I feel that he was teaching us,
with the greatest story ever told.
