A thief has a change of heart. |
Five-Finger Moore went to the store with no intent to pay, because, you see, a thief was he, a thief all livelong day. Moore thought it cool to slip a tool (at Lowe’s or Home Depot), by any means into his jeans then like a lamb lie low. Finger, in fact, preferred this tact since Wrangler’s served him well. And no surprise, all oversize; those Wrangler’s seemed to swell. Yet Moore cared not and had no thought of being fashion plate. He stayed content to not repent and tempt the fist of fate. Five-Finger stole and had the goal of stealing every tool. A hammer, wrench, vise for his bench, though vises have some pull. But then one day he had to pay when one tool caused great smarts. A saw ‘neath fly made Finger cry by nicking private parts. His eyes grew white from the saw's bite-- he had a change of heart. Now Finger meets and gladly greets the people at Walmart. 28 Lines Writer’s Cramp 9-16-15 |
