Poem for Weekly Image Prompt contest
DON'T RUN AGROUND

A ship that follows blindly
Might end up beached in sand
When astarboard or alee
Just might have saved all hands

Love that can't see weakness
Is headed for a shoal
If true love can see the fault
The lovers might stay whole

Children raised in darkness
Will grow up in the gloom
If their minds can open wide
Young intellect  can bloom

Like a horse with blinders
That can't see left or right
When we close our minds to change
We never have full sight

Don't follow onward blindly
And never try to see
Don't be that ship that ran aground
