The Cycle of Life

This is a dark prose that teaches a lesson.

"The Cycle of Life" 

Life is not all lollipops
There is much pain along the way
Pain is actually good for us
It helps us grow a little each day
With every road there are ridges and valleys.

We live in a world of opposites
For each up there is a down
For each smile comes a frown
The pain is part of the process.

What does not kill us makes us stronger
By now I have come to realize
Darkness comes before the dawn
So goes the cycle of life.
