What is left after we die? Will we really be missed? What do we leave behind?
What if I was killed today?
What if tomorrow I died?
What if I said goodbye
And never returned home alive?
Would you bite your lip
Give a smile
And say that you're okay?
Or would you run
Fall
And scream and shout
Begging me to stay?
Would I be forgotten
In darkness and
Alone?
Or would you come and visit me
In my house of stone?
What if I was killed today?
And if my soul was taken
Would I be forever loved
Or memory forsaken?
