A French Huitain for Thanksgiving. . . |
| This is a Huitain. Simply, a Huitain (from the French for eight) is a poem with eight lines each of which must contain eight syllables. There are a few possible rhyme schemes for the Huitain. This one is "ababbcbc". I ask for what should I give thanks. Should I praise God that I“m not poor? There“s higher numbers in the banks And I can easily make more. But God“s gifts are not sold in stores. Instead of thanking for money, Here“s something to be thankful for: That being loved is always free. |
