second chance

believing in yourself to do better

I have been given a second chance.
I have the opportunity to do better then I have been doing.
I was in a dark place now I'm back.

The darkness of depression was once my home.
I could've died on my own.
The people who helped me get better are here with me still.

Illness of the brain almost sentenced me for life.
A cage was once going to be what I called home.
I'm thankful will not see the inside of a jail cell .

I mightn't been an accident.
Never was it my parents plan for me to come around, my choice are not a product of being a mistake.
Even though my future is unclear my decisions are.
Living with the choices i have made has made me stronger.

I am wiser for what I have done.
My second chance starts now.
