Ashes and Ashes

You’re being lowered into the ground. I am breathless, heartbroken, confused. You should be standing next to me, not lying in a box. I feel broken in two, my other half is gone. I can still see your eyes, glazed over, dead. You knew it would be me. I would find you, but now I’m lost, fading fast. I am getting colder, as the rain pelts against my coat. It was you, who saved me from myself, you who told me put down the razor and live a normal life. I will never be normal again.
