State of the Union

My opinion of the state of America

A broken system
Controlled by greed
Those hungry vamps
Use our money to feed

Separate the people
Through hot-button news
We're all so similar
Yet they differ our views

We fight each other
Because they keep us blind
If you reach in your pockets
Their hands you will find

Two parties, one goal
To consume without guilt
They seek and destroy
What our forefathers built

They sit back and amass
The future grow dreary
Their wallets grow fat
Their job's just a theory

Who's the lesser of evil
The line is so thin
When the polls are all closed
The people won't win

When our eyes finally open
We'll realize it's too late
We were led by the dollar
And divided by hate
