The color of my life. The first post of my first blog.
As long as I feel like I don't really have to change who I am, then I feel fine.
Take it as a fact. I am who I am, no strings attached. But in the way of discovering myself I've come across a lot of two faced people who think they can use me and dispose me at their will. Well, guess what I have to say to those rats? You're picking on the wrong piece of blue cheese. Purple cheese? Is that even an option? I'd so be that if it were.
So I had another blog a few months ago. Actually, a couple of years ago. But it just wasn't moving the part of me that it was supposed to... it wasn't bringing me that share of joy and passion you're supposed to feel when you have one. Therefore, just as I do with many other things in my life; I got a new one. I don't mean to come off as a know-it-all whose life is just a bad example of wisdom, but it seems to be true that whenever something doesn't work or bring out the best of you, just change it; replace it. Get a new one.
Seeking the Purple... Yes... Those three words are intentionally thrown together for a reason:
SEEKING, for me, just stands as a reminder of this endless journey I'm on; that of trying to find what truly fulfills me and the desire to not stop until I've got it. Seeking goes beyond just 'looking for', it portrays an image of searching with your eyes open and your heart willing to find more meaning than yesterday. THE is used as an article preceding a noun because for me the next word doesn't just portray a color, it represents something much greater than that. PURPLE conveys the idea of my oasis, my paradise, my dreams come true. Not just because my favorite color is purple, but also because purple reflects the purest merge between two of the most opposites that prevail in the world. The fierce passion and drive of the red and the solemn majesty of the blue. Both so different, but coming together so helplessly to form a beyond-words-gorgeous nuance of beauty... That just touches me. My life is (or I'd like to think it is) a portrait of equity, tolerance and embracing of differences. Purple to me just means so much more than a color.
Basically, Seeking the purple is my place of peace; my haven. It is also my diary in this everlong (and barely beginning) process of finding meaning and achieving dreams in this life. So if you ever wondered what the name stands for; I hope this can give y'all a better idea of what this is all about. May God always be with me through this whole funny thing called life; and may His higher purpose come forth in me so that this will not be just an empty shell story but something that can really touch lives.
