A short poem about the feelings of a mother as a child walks away in his life. |
| A MOTHER’S TIME WARP . A mother remembers the interval of time between the two incidents, When she brought the newborn home in her arms And when the child left home Time went past too swiftly The years flew past as if they had wings There was no time to stop and reflect And now when the child has walked away into his life, Time slows down and moves at its own pace This was the mother’s time warp. Time warp is a term used in Einstein’s theory of relativity and is defined as the slowing down of time when the object (where time is being measured) moves with a speed comparable to the speed of light relative to the observer. |
