Poem about the experience of falling in love
I fell in love once...
At first stumbled
Then I fell

I nearly missed it's beauty
As I got caught in the banter of love

Immersed in lurid, lucid thoughts of what it should be
The passion of preconception permeated my tender soul
Piercing my boyish man

Overwhelming euphoria of the moment
Captivated by what I thought was me
What I thought was mine and mine alone

I fell in love once when my mind was young...
Before me

Before my developed and now clouded sense
Before I could walk
Before I knew innocence
Before I new desperation
Tolerance
Insignificance

I fall in love now
Nearly everyday
I fall in love with you all over again
The picture of you
The not you
Perfect you

A friend of mine that I didn't know
Died before I got the chance
I did not fall this time
I jumped
Spinning out of control
Presumably never reaching the end
The end will come though
It surely will
And at that moment, I will fall in love again
