A poem about how English gardens cleanse the soul.
| An English Garden
Multicolored pastel paintings
of subtle hues from an artist’s palette
thrill and titillate the senses
in a kaleidoscope of ingrained images.
Delicate fragrances wafting heavenward
intertwine with the souls
of the garden’s ever present residents,
as fuzzy bees pollinate, fulfilling their purpose.
A magical mix of blossoms and tender greens,
where fairies and dreams are born,
clears and cleanses the stresses of life
with beauty, tranquility and serenity.
Cotton candy pinks, illuminating emeralds,
English violets and celestial blues,
combine with scents of rose, jasmine, and lily
to fulfill dreams of beauty.
Delphiniums, lavender, marigolds all kissed
by dewy droplets from early morn mists,
imbed into the core of one’s existence
as heavenly gifts from an English garden.
