A poem explaining the roles of angels in our lives
Angels Among Us

Unnoticed iridescent feathers…
scattered along your pathway…
an angel is walking beside you.

On the edge of consciousness, a barely heard celestial choir…
in perfect harmony singing hallowed songs…
angels giving messages.

At the edge of peripheral vision…
a feathered being or a brilliant light…
an angel’s presence so that you are never alone.

Spring flowers that suddenly bloom…
in the dead of winter…
angels giving you tangible and palpable signs.

Sudden and barely detectable sweet fragrances…
rosemary, sage and thyme…
an angel using scent to announce his presence.

A nearly imperceptible wisp of a touch…
just as a mother’s touch lovingly comforts her baby…
an angel is comforting you.

A sudden calm descends…
in the midst of a crisis…
an angel bringing you peace and tranquility.

A moment of brilliant clarity…
in the midst of anguished turmoil…
an angel is with you, calming and reassuring.

Suddenly appearing, a long-lost precious keepsake…
that you had searched for over years…
an angel bringing you cherished memories.

Feeling a holy and uplifting presence…
when you are praying or meditating…
an angel taking your prayers to God.

Angels are veritable heavenly presences,
that manifest to come to earth for us,
and even if their existence cannot be scientifically
or objectively proven,
believers instinctually know
that angels are living entities,
sent to help, guard, bless and confirm
God’s grace and everlasting love for us all.
