1 Killed in Kushtia in Machete Attack

An incident of killing bearing the same hallmarks of previous killing

An incident of killing took place once again in Bangladesh on Friday, 20 May, 2016 at Shishirpara Maath, Bottoil near the District town of Kushtia.

In the incident two persons came under attack while riding on motorbike by three youths aged between 25 and 30 with Machete.

One of the victims Sanaur Rahman, a Homeopath and known as promoter of Baul songs, died minutes after attack of excessive bleeding from injuries.

Another one Saifuzzaman who was also known as promoter of Baul songs and an assistant professor of Bangla at Islamic University in Kushtia received serious injuries at different parts of his body. He has been brought to Dhaka by an air ambulance and admitted to the Apollo Hospitals.

Police have not been able to make any arrest in this repect so far.
