An angel's fall from grace
Fallen Angel

Having been a holy,
winged messenger
of God,
She fell from
His Grace.

She disobeyed God,
having lusted
for a mortal,
punished, she is cast out
of heaven.

Chained and shackled
to earth, she suffers
the tribulations of mortals,
remorse and sorrow

Other fallen angels
weep for her,
for themselves,
and for their eternal

Her forlorn lament
pierces the air
causing humans
to make the sign of the
Holy Cross.

The Devil’s caress
extends to earth,
with a fiery embrace
for a
fallen angel.
