Short story created for the Blink contest
|The satellite pictures showed the total destruction of the planet. Fires still raged. Clouds of radiation blanketed the globe.
“Why?” one of the few remaining generals asked. “You started the war for no reason. There were no tensions, we were at peace. No one wanted or expected this.”
The President looked at him and grinned, the madness still in her eyes. “No use crying over spilled milk,” she said.
