Short story about a girl worth her weight in gold
Believe in Gold and Your Soul (2nd place winner: Mari McKee with "Believe in Gold and Your Soul" in July Musical Drabble Contest)

Discordant keys played on a keyboard welcome her as she leisurely strolls into the bar. The group’s singer is cute so she winks at him as a sax joins the song. Mildly amused, she listens to the lyrics for a few moments as a patron lip syncs, “you’re always in control” looking in her direction, but not seeing her. Tossing her hair from her face, she knows she is definitely worth her weight in gold. In death, however, she is spending eternity going from bar to bar, always looking but never finding…her soul.
