         The darkness lent the man lurking in the staircase with the black suitcase comfort as he waited for his client.
         Mr. Jones was most comfortable in the dark, the light made him nervous. In the dark, he had power; no one could see who he truly was. The light striped him down leaving him naked, his faults so everyone can see.
         The sound of footsteps brought him back to the darkness. His client, he was sure, approached. He knew that smell, fear and contempt. He took a deep silent breath, relishing what he had caused.
         "Mr. Jones, where are you?" came the familiar quivering wimp of a voice.
         "Right here," he growled, "Did you bring it?" He smirked at the man showing teeth, slipping into his favorite persona.
         "Uh, ye...yes sir," the man hesitated, unnerved by the wolf-like snarl facing him. It made him think of a piranha.
         "Good," came the purr of satisfaction, "give it to me."
         The man gulped as he started to breathe heavier. He had brought the stuff, however, not nearly as much as had been previously arranged. Mr. Jones would not be happy about that.
         "Well...it's right here sir, but ah you see..." he sniveled trying to get out of the inevitable, "I could get the whole thing."
         In the darkness, Mr. Jones eyes lit up. He loved it when they didn't do what they were told. The glow in his eyes couldn't be mistaken; he was reveling in the man's misery. This was his favorite part.
