We all do...
Lights go out
In a broken house
Rain falls down
On a haunted town

She’s walking down
A one way street
On frozen ground
Can't feel her feet

She's gonna bruise herself
She's gonna lose herself
She's gonna bruise herself
Don't wanna choose herself
But it's too late...

He’s running through
Shadows in an avenue
Barking up wrong trees
Faces only he can see

They’re taunting him
Names shake his bones
Makes him feel shame
Thrown sticks and stones

He's gonna bruise himself
He's gonna lose himself
He's gonna bruise himself
Don't wanna choose himself
But it's too late...

See that beat old man
Holding up that post
Gotta cap in hand
Grey as a ghost

He's barely thirty five
Will soon be gone
The weight of life
Proved much too strong

You're gonna bruise yourself
You're gonna lose yourself
You're gonna bruise yourself
Go on and choose yourself
It's not too late...
