"my entry"

Wolf and Owl.

“When will winter ever subside?”
“Maybe,” Wise Owl replied, “never;
this ice and snow has spread worldwide.”

“This disaster is from man's pride,”
Wolf said, “Men thought to be clever;
when will winter ever subside?”

“When the green grass vanished,” I cried.
Wolf sighed. “Now, I'm a believer.
This ice and snow has spread worldwide.”

“We have nowhere safe left to hide.”
“Your sad words give me a fever.
When will winter ever subside?”

The Wise Owl, Wolf hungrily eyed,
searching words to deceive her.
“This ice and snow has spread worldwide.”

“We can work together,” Wolf lied.
Of Owl was left just a feather.
“This ice and snow has spread worldwide.
When will winter ever subside?”
