Life in Darkness

this is my new life... for now.

At one time my life was full of darkness,
I had no hope, no fun, no life.
Light finally found me,
Once again I had hope, fun, and life,
Finally had the future I wanted,
I was truly in my heart happy.

But things changed,
My life here,
Her life there.
Suddenly the darkness I fought to get away from
Was thrust back in, again.
Greeting me like an old friend.

I am surviving,
No one can or will stop me.
I still have my failing life,
One day that failing life will engulf me, like a cancer.
Until i find a new light,
a better one,
A true one.

Until then I will wait in the darkness,
I bide my time,
Knowing I am better,
I am happy.
