Happy birthday to a wonderful site.
What is it that provides such persistent draw?
Resistance is futile—interaction does occur.
I celebrate Writing Dot Com’s birthday, I
tip my Penguin’s hat to sixteen years extant.
It is both an honor and pleasure; something I
need to do—it is the brightness of the sun,
golden rays, this site exclusively for writing.
Dare I say it? Yes, I am more than glad.
Onward each day, goes writing to and fro,
the poetry, an essay, sometimes a story short.
Celebrate this September morn—I am electric!
Open a window to this writing world; so I am go.
More is the satisfaction celebrating with a poem;
so often creating comes with joy and eagerness.
Because I have to write—I strive for aplomb.
I write of many things—even the number pi.
Regardless of myriad subjects, I remain astir;
truth is excellence in site, this one I write about.
Happy sixteenth birthday! Thank you very much.
Dawn has broken—light is again all over the land.
Another poem I offer, I with humbleness say yea.
Yes to Writing.Com—I’m glad you came my way.
