What happens when the lights go out? Written for "The Writers Cramp"
When the lights go out they come,
Creeping softly through the room,
Not a whisper nor a shout,
When the lights go out.

When the lights go out they’re here,
Listen closely and you’ll hear,
Then you’ll know without a doubt,
When the lights go out.

When the lights go out they know,
Seeds of fear they’re bound to sow,
All those things you’ve read about,
When the lights go out.

When the lights go out, don’t cry,
Calm and still you must there lie,
Bold and fearless as they scout,
When the lights go out.

When the lights go out, sleep tight
Escape from the dead of night,
Dream your sweetest dreams throughout,
When the lights go out.
