A poem about the 2016 presidential election. |
| Despite some rah-rahs and folks' cheering With some sidestep and some veering, All fact-checking put aside, Their loyal subjects do abide... Insults hurled with disdain - Never shall the others reign. Lessons learned which shan't be taught; Glad this race is ably fought. Soon a victor will be crowned; Four more years of being clowned. The larger party shall emerge, Setting up a third one's surge. But the future holds one thing - Established folks shall hear youths ring! A change of truth is soon forthcoming; Creating migraines, lots of humming. Her victory, cause and effect, Is still too sudden to detect. But challenge Clinton all you want, Your Trump mistakes will duly haunt. Allow us all one simple truth - The Clinton camp seems so uncouth; May be nit-picked, might be libel; Cheater's hands are on the Bible. |
