Questions about God. Questions He asks and answers.

NON project

Who is God?

What does he say about Himself?

What do we say about Him?

What does this say about how He feels about us?

How does this reveal how we should think about ourselves?

How does this reveal how we should think about our relationship with Him?

October 17 2016

God asks questions of us. For example, the book of Job 38-41, contains many questions. But God gives answers to them as well. They, the questions, are sometimes implied, as in Job; they are sometimes clearly stated, as in Malachi 3:8. But they are always answered.

Malachi 3:8 Living Bible (TLB)

8 “Will a man rob God? Surely not! And yet you have robbed me.

“‘What do you mean? When did we ever rob you?’

“You have robbed me of the tithes and offerings due me.

What questions is Jesus recorded as asking? Why did he ask? Was it to make us think? I think so, at least part of the time. The same holds true for God. God made Job think about Who God is with the questions He asked. It was not just a rebuke, but also a reminder. Without remembering who God is, we cannot work out what to believe or how to trust in Him. Without Him we are truly lost.
