I awoke in the middle of the night
I awoke in the middle of the night,
A loud and creep noise gave me a fright,
I opened the door to see what was up,
In my front yard was a huge coffee cup.

Out of the cup rose a gallon of steam,
That became aliens of blue, gray, and green,
They came on my porch shouting "Trick or Treat!"
I gave them candy tasting honey sweet.

They ate the candy then said "Thanks a bunch.
We did not have dessert with our lunch.
The honey tasting candy was just the thing.
To top off the menu and make our hearts sing."

I laughed and said, "You're welcome anytime.
The next time you come please ring my door chime."
