Just another love poem

There are no words for what I feel
If you were a shoe I’d be your heel
My heart is firmly in your grasp
Now all you need do is close the clasp.

None has ever gone this far
If I were a planet you’d be my star
Poetry seems so inadequate now
Yet I feel a need to express it somehow.

You have hauled my heart away
From your side I’ll never stray
My soul and all belongs to you
Each day I awaken to life anew.

None has made me feel this in years
You are the answer to all my tears.
