Saving Light I walked among shadows, Darkness as thick as tar, Black soot upon my soul, Craving eternal light. A peripheral flicker momentarily Pierced through the gloom. I turned to face the waning light, Stretched forth my hands and cried. Weakness overtook my knees As cleansing whiteness washed Over my eyes and Penetrated into my soul. Dianne Lowe Breakfield |
