a follow up to my poem titled " someone else ".
I finally got what I wanted. I got what the heart yearned for and what the head wished for. That sweet warm smile, the way his teeth perfectly line up when his dimples shine out so brightly, so defined. To look into those beautiful blue eyes and complain about how long those eyelashes are. To finally have those strong arms wrapped around me, one scarred, one plain holding me securely so nothing steals me from him.

I finally got the time to do all that the heart yearned for. And for what the head wished, The time to finally be there with him, beside him to hear that laugh that gives me butterflies.

But no matter how much time has passed, when it's meant to be love will find a way.
