December 2016 poetic Traditions |
As I sit all alone each day I wonder where you may have gone Are you someplace so far away May I ask what heart was undone. You leave me here all broken up My heart is torn all asunder Each day I sip from my own cup I regret each major blunder. Christmas comes only once each year This year I wish it would pass by When I face life without you dear I hang low my head and I cry. Other's wishes will now soon come true All I want for Christmas is you. Sonnet form - iambic tetrameter - 14 lines |
