A haiku inspired by a Newbie

alone in darkness
listening to a flowing stream
calming is the water


Author's note: caps and punctuation were intentionally omitted in honor of Japanese tradition.

I wrote this after reviewing the poem "Sounds" by A. M. Bradley, a newbie who has been on WDC for less than a month.

Here is "Sounds".


Sounds

As I sit alone in the darkness,
I hear the faint noise of water

It drips and runs around me,
calming me with its soothing sound
