We were kings who wandered from afar We were in search of the promised child We followed the bright and shining star And found him in a town lowly and mild. We were kings who had known no lack or want Yet inside we were lonely and in need Our love for the chosen one knew no daunt We knew not that for us he would soon bleed. A little child laying in a manger The Savior of the whole human race A man like which none was ever stranger A man so full of mercy and of grace.
