The lone soldier rides the train to nowhere He is heading there now so very fast He knows the enemy lay close out there He wishes he could now go home at last. The train takes him to his embarkation He had to leave else everything behind At the port his means of transportation As the war weighs heavily on his mind. He would die for his country if need be Or help another soldier die for his He does what he must do for liberty For in his mind freedom is what it is.
