Gratefulness; a break from the inner turmoil.
|I gaze carelessly into old smoke and mirrors
Getting caught up with the reflections
Seeing a self consumed alone,
The twilight was never expected,
For the sun shone upon me alone.
You were there in these times,
And You watched as I trembled inside.
You let me suffer,
And until now, I knew not why.
The sun which sets still shines,
You showed me this.
You show it to me each break of day.
An absolute gift,
So easily overlooked.
Tonight, as the mist settles around me,
I know who I am,
And I thank You for the smoke,
And for the mirrors.
I would not know any different,
Or any better.
Be with us all,
And let Your grace draw Love
On the canvas of our soul.
