This is a small jounal entry of what I've accomplished this year
2017! this year has began! It's interesting to see where I want to go and what I 've done. This may not be something that everyone is interested in right now but it's something that I am going to try and keep up with.

To Begin, let me set some goals to figure out what I want to do.
My goals for this year are to enter more writing contests.
The Weekly Quickie
Matters of the Heart
Dear Me *BoxCheckB*
I write...
New Horizons Academy (A grammar class probably)
Dynamic Reviewers Class *BoxCheckB*
Daily Writing Challenge
February *BoxCheckR*
April *BoxCheckB*
June (Didn't make it through June.)

There are challenges I would like to get into better.
Welcome to my reality. (the rules have been updated and changed.)
a Very Wodehouse challenge (I did this last year and enjoyed it.)
The Snail Mail Forum (my goal is to keep up with the birthdays sending cards at the beginning of the month)
Sent Birthday Cards and Letters

The Challenge (this was fun last year with Nano.)

I want to write this year
Short stories, poetry, prompt something or other.
I want to get my imagination running. I miss it. I miss the wonder and excitement that writing use to hold for me. I have set a goal of 150 words a day minimum. I chose this so that I could make 50,000 words by the end of the year. Something easy again. I know there are gong to be days that I won't write and some days I will go crazy in writing.
I also have to remember that there are rules to this writing project.

Rules for writing

I have to give myself time to get this done. This is not something that has to be done today or really soon. I have a year to make my goal. Take my time and don't push myself too much but don't be so lazy that you don't even try.
For the month of February I have joined Daily Writing Challenge. The point of this challenge is to write a certain number of words every day for a month. Each day the number grows by 25. Feb 1 was 100 words. The challenger can write whatever they want as long they meet the word count requirement.

Finally, reading.
This list is not going to be planned. I have an idea of what I want to read this year and most of the books are either going to be at the local library or they are going to be in my private collection.
There are 3 novel series I have started that I want to get through this year. At least three but a fourth may present itself if one series ends.
Her Royal Spyness Mystery series by Rhys Bowen
Molly Murphy Mysteries Mystery series by Rhys Bowen
Nine Kingdoms Series Romance series by Lynn Kurland

Completed Reading List

Once these are complete I am not sure where I will go from there. Probably just switch back and forth between authors.
My ultimate goal is to read at least 15 to 19 books. If I keep up reading a book a week I could end up with a lot more than just that.

I know that for some my goals are going to seem trivial or too easy or just plain weird. You know what, that's okay. Because I have set these goals and I have accomplish them. This is not about what anyone else is doing or what anyone else has done. This is about what I think I can do this year. New Year's resolutions are hard to keep simply because people forget about them or just aren't interested in doing what they really set out to do. This year, I want to push myself, my problem is that as much as I allow myself to fail. I am afraid that when I fail, I won't be able to pick myself back up and I will stay down. Although it's hard to stay down when you've got such a great community of people who are walking along side of you no matter what you are going through. *Smile*

Updates throughout the year.
