A modern, everyday sight - crossing a bridge - a poem. |
| A fast-pay access lane or highway Often leads to the next, or newest, Extension or thoroughfare - A highly-trafficked crossing Known as a bridge; Productive engineering Which is designed To convey motorized vehicles To places of regional Or localized nature. Views of the water or bay Line the structure And engulf that somewhat lengthy connector With ample scenery; Meanwhile, gusts of wind and rain Often wreak havoc On the virol travellers and their vehicles. But as is usual, on a busy weekend or weekday, The buses, motorcycles, SUVs, and sedans Plow through that supported roadway And re-assert themselves On to dry, urban or somewhat rural land - Further attaching their drivers and passengers To life on heavenly soil. |
