How does refriending happen?
I looked outside a stark expanse looking for signs of life.
I might as well been on the moon, emptiness filled my inside.
I look for water, a noise, acrid odors a remembrance of someone lost.
A refriending hope that my decision to leave home was for my God.

Take my hand Jesus gently direct my path to fertile soil.
Take my heart and show me persons awaiting my arrival.
I am never alone as long as I have the presence of God on my mind.
Time, eternally awaits the moment I will recover once again:
That I have a friend.
