It all started with a step
He opened his eyes. The world shined brighter than it ever did. He could hear his heart thumping and blood rushing to his ears. He was terrified but strangely excited. It was finally the D-day. He tried to postpone it over and over again, but he was told that he was ready. He had his doubts but he wanted to try. He never believed in the saying "it's now or never". This is going to be his first time but it won't be his last. He was small and fragile but his determination was great, greater than the sky he gazed at everyday. He took a deep breath, then a second one. He stood up and took his first step towards a new experience, a new life, a new him. He walked forward with his little feet, smaĺl steps, one after the other. When he reached the edge, he looked up and started flapping his small wings, over and over again and then he flew.
