Ever been on an internet dating site?

I think
As I trawl the internet
Dating site –
Surely I’m on the brink
Of finding him,
Not too young or old,
Not arrogant but
Bold enough
To know his mind,
A one-of-a-kind.
The type of guy who has
Something interesting
To say,
And not just “Hey, How’s you?
How was your day?”
Is it too implausible,
My wish,
For someone who can spell
And whose profile pic
Does not sport
Dead fish?
Whose sole goal
Is not to get you
In to bed?
Perhaps it is.
I think I’ll book a holiday
Instead.
