She yearns for love, not abuse.
She stood at the window watching the couples go by. Hand in hand, she longed to be like them, unafraid to be with the person who swears to love you.She rubbed her left side gingerly. Her ribs ached from the punches he threw. He did not need much of an excuse to hit her anymore. She only knew peace would be found outside the four wall of this tiny prison she called home.
